This intensive retreat is the precursor to Sahra's book on Saadi dance. Sahra Saeeda has been researching Saadi dance in depth in Egypt since 1993 when she was a performer in Cairo. She has made regular trips to Egypt once or twice a year for her research ever since she moved to the United States. This June she will be traveling to the Sa'id gathering more information as in this in -depth Certification. She will be teaching dancers information that has never formally been taught outside the Sa'id. This will be the first in a series of JtE-In Depth Intensives into folkloric dances of Egypt.

Friday May 1st
Check in 1-3pm with movement workshop starting at 3pm followed by lecture over a veg potluck dinner -possible bonfire at night for Q&A session. Remember to bring your vegetarian potluck for the lecture /video dinner . You can find ready made items at the local farmers market Weaver's Way
Saturday May 2nd
Arrive 10am for your lecture in the Great Room. Lunch will be catered but dinner will be out followed by more classes until late in the evening .
Sunday May 3rd
Sunday 's time will be posted on Saturday night (most likely 10 or 10:30 am ) according to how much material we get through .You will be finished by 4:30 pm for your flights but can stay for graduation ceremony and Saaidi costume photos until 6:30 pm if you wish to.
Opening Reception @ 3 pm Friday & Closing Ceremony Graduation 6pm Sunday
There are only 12 beds available ! Price is the same even if you are not staying so book early .
